Dr. Sean Creighton is president of the New American Colleges and Universities (NACU), a national network of innovative campuses with bold futures. Sean works with NACU’s campus leaders to improve performance through academic collaboration, benchmark research, leadership development, and strategic partnerships. He also oversees the Washington Internship Institute, a study away internship program for undergraduate students that is governed by NACU. Sean has published and presented extensively on higher education, strategic collaboration, and civic engagement and has been a principal investigator on research projects for the Kettering Foundation, National Security Agency, National Science Foundation, and TIAA Institute. A dedicated public servant, he served on boards for the International Leadership Association, TEDxDayton, and Yellow Springs Public Schools and currently chairs the Dayton Literary Peace Prize board. Sean holds literature degrees from Marist College and New York University, a Ph.D. in leadership and change from Antioch University, loves writing, and is inspired by creative people, especially his amazing family and their novelesque adventures.
